Office of the Grand Counselor Legal Internship

I am pleased to announce the Office of the Grand Counselor Legal Internship, a new opportunity designed to strengthen the Fraternity's legal infrastructure while helping develop the next generation of Omega lawyers.

The internship is a remote, unpaid educational and professional-development opportunity for an Omega member who is currently enrolled in law school as a 2L or higher. The anticipated commitment is approximately 5 to 10 hours per week, with reasonable flexibility for examinations and other academic obligations. Regular physical presence at Omega's International Headquarters is not required.

The initial appointment will be for one academic semester, with the possibility of renewal for one additional academic semester at the discretion of the Office. The Legal Intern will report to the Deputy Grand Counselor and work under attorney supervision.

The intern may assist with supervised legal research and drafting, litigation and claims support, transactions and contracts, intellectual property, risk management, compliance and investigations, governance, legislative affairs, international matters, legal education, and other appropriate projects. The purpose is to provide meaningful practical exposure while supplementing the work of the Office's attorneys, staff, and outside counsel.

There is no salary, stipend, wages, benefits, or other compensation associated with the internship, and participation does not guarantee future employment or appointment with the Fraternity. A student may pursue academic or experiential-learning credit where permitted by his law school. Academic credit is not guaranteed and must be arranged by the student with his institution.

The selected intern will be required to execute the Office of the Grand Counselor Legal Internship, Confidentiality and Data Security Agreement before receiving access to nonpublic Fraternity information or beginning substantive assignments.
